High School Block:

Electrical Wiring 120

Electrical Wiring 120 extends learner knowledge, skills, and competencies required for the electrical trade. Learners will review pathways to apprenticeship and career opportunities found in the wider electrical field. The Canadian Electrical Code is explored in depth and applied to wiring methods in a commercial environment. Hands-on skills are developed related to armored cables, conduits, support channels, motor control, fire alarm, security, and telecom systems. Learners will continue to develop skills in workplace safety and interpret more complex wiring diagrams and schematics. Numeracy and literary skills specific to the trade will be developed throughout the course. Completing this course is recommended for learners wishing to pursue post-secondary education in an electrical related field. Please Note: Electrical wiring 110 is foundational learning and a recommended Pre-Requisite for learners wishing to enroll in this course.
