Where do doctors get their answers?

Medical laboratory technologists (MLT) and medical laboratory assistants (MLA) play a crucial role in patient care. It’s estimated that about 75% of all decisions made by the doctor are based on results from the lab. Want to see if there’s a urinary tract infection? That’s MLTs and MLAs! Looking for blood sugar levels? MLTs and MLAs again! How about checking tissue for cancer? Yep, the lab! What about determining if a patient has influenza, or covid? You guessed it – the lab!
