Cela permet aux apprenants d\u2019explorer la relation entre la mati\u00e8re et l\u2019\u00e9nergie \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle macroscopique. Les apprenants approfondissent leurs connaissances de l\u2019origine de la mati\u00e8re, de la diversit\u00e9 de la vie, de l\u2019h\u00e9r\u00e9dit\u00e9 et de l\u2019\u00e9cologie, ainsi que de grands principes de l\u2019intendance environnementale et de la conservation. Les id\u00e9es f\u00e9d\u00e9ratrices de diversit\u00e9, d\u2019\u00e9quilibre, de mati\u00e8re, de mod\u00e8les et de syst\u00e8mes servent de strat\u00e9gies qui leur permettront de donner un sens \u00e0 ces \u00e9l\u00e9ments pour consolider les connaissances en sciences acquises au primaire et \u00e0 l\u2019interm\u00e9diaire.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"g-container\">\n<p>Par l\u2019entremise de recherches pratiques, les apprenants voient comment les r\u00e9actions chimiques de lib\u00e9ration d\u2019\u00e9nergie ou n\u00e9cessitant de l\u2019\u00e9nergie font le pont entre les syst\u00e8mes vivants et les composantes physiques de la biosph\u00e8re. On leur pr\u00e9sente les comp\u00e9tences en raisonnement chimique, et ils \u00e9largissent leur connaissance du monde scientifique en appliquant les grandes th\u00e9ories et les lois g\u00e9n\u00e9rales des recherches biologiques.
