Les apprenants se font faire la lecture avant de lire de fa\u00e7on autonome et, lors de ces activit\u00e9s de lecture \u00e0 voix haute, ils commencent \u00e0 poser des questions sur des histoires et des faits. Les apprenants interagissent avec divers types de textes, y compris des livres d\u2019images, des revues, des textes g\u00e9n\u00e9raux et des livres audio. Ils imaginent d\u2019autres sc\u00e9narios, examinent les personnages au moyen de jeux de r\u00f4les et d\u2019exploration et examinent les faits et les renseignements avec curiosit\u00e9. Ces interactions aident les apprenants \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer ce qu\u2019ils aiment et ce qu\u2019ils n\u2019aiment pas et \u00e0 acqu\u00e9rir des comp\u00e9tences en fonction de leurs int\u00e9r\u00eats et de leurs identit\u00e9s \u00e9mergentes en tant que lecteurs, auteurs et communicateurs. \u00c0 mesure que les apprenants se forgent des int\u00e9r\u00eats et des opinions, ils transf\u00e8rent leurs comp\u00e9tences linguistiques d\u2019expression et de r\u00e9ception aux interactions sociales et au jeu. C\u2019est \u00e0 cet \u00e2ge que la plupart des apprenants commencent \u00e0 utiliser leurs comp\u00e9tences en communication pour n\u00e9gocier, analyser et s\u2019exprimer afin d\u2019atteindre
